Commentary
Pie chart based on analysis of specimen collections in the American Museum of Natural History, Field Museum of Natural History and National Museum of Natural History. It shows that 2/3 (64%) of the specimens were affiliated with WCUU, with only 18% unaffiliated and another 18% with unknown affiliation.

Those that were unaffiliated include specimens donated by Jack Young from his various expeditions, and Ruth Harkness's pandas that died at the Brookfield Zoo.
