Description
-
Two photos of Luzhou taken from a hill above the city are stitched together not quite perfectly to create a panoramic scene. In the foreground one can pick out the city wall in both photos. In the middle right there is a white seven-tiered pagoda near the shoreline. Beyond the shore, there is a peninsula jutting out into the bend in the Yangtze River with a few buildings on it. To the left is the Tuo River.

Commentary
-
Probably taken from the top of the Kuixing Pavilion (Bell and Drum Tower) looking northeast towards the city. The Kiuxing Pavilion is an ancient watchtower along the Southern Silk Road dedicated to Kiu Xing, god of scholarship. Although the landmark has been marked as a Cultural Relic and been restored, one can no longer climb to its top.
