Alternative Identifier

Description
Taken from a boat on the Yangtze River, the image shows a lime processing operation on a distant shoreline. The limestone mining can be seen on the hillside above, while the lime kiln dust (LKD) can be seen cascading toward the water below. Two boats are moored nearby.
Commentary
Although there are lime kilns in Sichuan, the appearance of the river and EKS's route suggest a location downstream instead. David Crockett Graham mentions that there is a large lime kiln near Wuchang, which is across the Yangtze from Hankow.
