United Church of Canada Mission (UCCM). Dr. Walter Crawford (far left) oversaw the UCCM group onboard. Walter Tonge (far right) was a new missionary coming to the field with his mother-in-law Beatrice Kitchen (seated right) and pregnant wife Muriel (seated second to right), who had been born in Sichuan.
