Corporal Don Willmott waiting for the Douglas C-54 Skymaster to board for his flight to Calcutta with other US troops.
Commentary
When the war ended, almost all US troops were flown out of China from Kunming to Calcutta, where they waited for a steamer to take them to New York. He didn't know it at the time, but this was the last time Don Willmott was in China until 1978.
