Title
Douglas C-54 Skymaster Landing at the R2S Drill Field
Caption
Plane landing at the R2S Drill Field --- a rare sight. This field was too vulnerable to Japanese discovery to be used until after the Japanese surrender a short time before.

Description
A Douglas C-54 Skymaster arriving at the R2S Drill Field. An army vehicle is driving on the dirt road in the foreground. Some small buildings can be seen in the background.
Commentary
The Drill Field at R2S (or Roger Two Sugar on radio) rarely had planes coming or going because it was surrounded by Japanese-controlled territory and therefore too vulnerable.
