Description
A double verandahed building similar in style to missionary homes. The building appears to be in the process of construction by the piles of bricks and unkempt appearance around its base. A person sits on the ground on the lower verandah. Another person appears to be sweeping behind a column nearby. Other buildings can be seen in the background.
Commentary
Gordon Jones had a degree in engineering from the University of Toronto. Accordingly, the Canadian Methodist Mission assigned him to building hospitals and schools in four different stations between 1910-1913, when he was reassigned to The Canadian Business Agency in Chongqing.
