abstract
-
Lewis Walmsley was the first missionary to return to West China after the 1951 evacuation. In 1957, Walmsley was invited to visit China by the Chinese People's Association for Cultural Relations with Foreign Countries. There is a chapter about this visit in his 1958 CBC radio series. There he states that he was in China for one month in the summer of 1957.
