Dr. Harrison and Mrs. Bea Mullett taught at the West China Union University from 1917-1952, thereby making them one of the longest serving missionary couples in West China.

Abstract

Dr. Harrison J. Mullett was a professor in the School of Dentistry at WCUU, and an accomplished academic with many publications in proffesional journals. His wife, Pearl "Bea" Mullett also taught at WCUU in the Foreign Languages department. She was well-known for her superior hostess skills and famously being friends with Mme. Chiang Kaishek. She was an avid collector of Sichuanese cross-stitch embroideries which are now housed in the Royal Ontario Museum, The Textile Museum of Canada and the Denison University Denison Museum.
