Commentary: This short section of the railway was completed in 1911 and abandoned due to bankruptcy soon after. The engineering was faulty and parts of the embankments swept away during a rain storm. It's not clear whether the railroad was still in operation when E. Kyle Simpson passed through Yichang in February of 1913. See all items with this value
