Commentary: The Stinsons were travelling back from furlough after the end of WWII when former Airforce planes, such as this Curtiss C-46 Commando, were repurposed for civilian travel. This plane was probably used to fly over "The Hump" in the Himalayas during the war, and may not have been serviced since then. See all items with this value
